As a Software Engineer at Microsoft, I help make sure your (daily) billions of requests for Azure's cloud compute are heard.
I graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in [theory](https://www.cc.gatech.edu/academics/threads/theory#:~:text=In%20the%20Theory%20thread%2C%20students%20study%20abstractions%20of,to%20design%20efficient%20algorithms%20and%20analyze%20algorithmic%20performance.), [intelligence](https://www.cc.gatech.edu/academics/threads/intelligence#:~:text=The%20Intelligence%20thread%20is%20concerned%20with%20top-to-bottom%20computational,cognitive%20agents%20such%20as%20humans%2C%20ants%2C%20or%20bees.), and [machine learning](https://www.cc.gatech.edu/ms-computer-science-specializations).
At Georgia Tech, I worked in the [Contextual Computing Group](https://gvu.gatech.edu/research/labs/contextual-computing-group) and [Borg Lab](http://www.borg.cc.gatech.edu/), building intelligent wearable devices. You can see some of them in my [publications](https://www.jonwomack.com/Publications/).
Before joining Microsoft, I patented ideas on wearable computers interacting with 5G networks at [Ericsson](https://www.ericsson.com/en/reports-and-papers/ericsson-technology-review/articles/technology-trends-2020), and helped the startup Bobidi gain acceptance to [Y Combinator](https://www.ycombinator.com/companies/bobidi).
When I’m not on a computer, you’ll find me rooting for Arsenal and Orlando City, [learning guitar](https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/u/jonathanglennwomack), and enjoying watersports.
